Prof. Christian Chukwuemeka Ike, is a Professor of Microbiology, currently the Dean, Faculty of Environmental Sciences, Member, UAES 2ND Governing Council, and former Dean, Faculty of Arts, Management and Social Sciences (FAMSS), University of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences Umuagwo, Imo State, Nigeria. Prof. Ike is a renowned Food, Beverage, Cosmetics and Medical devices Consultant. Prof. Ike career spans over 21 years with over 11 years in the academics and 9 years in the industrial sector where he started his career and occupied various managerial positions such as Food Safety Manager, Quality Control/ Production Manager, Shift Quality Assurance Manager, Environmental Manager, and General Manager in some multinationals (FMCG) like Limca Bottlers Plc, Olam Nigeria Ltd, Niccus Industries Ltd, Kotec Group Ltd, Coca Cola Hellenic Bottling Company - Nigerian Bottling Company Ltd etc). In the academics, Prof. Ike has taught in five (5) different universities and other higher institutions in Nigeria, and has occupied positions like Dean of Academic Faculties (severally), Head of Department (severally), Examination Officer, Postgraduate Co-oordinator etc. He has a good number of international and local journals to his credit among which are the high impact Scopus and Scimago indexed journal articles. His research area is Food & Industrial Microbiology with interest in application and management of microorganisms in the food management systems in order to create safety and healthy living among consumers by eliminating malnutrition and diseases.
