Prof. Christian Chukwuemeka Ike, is an Associate Professor (Reader) in Microbiology, a position he has occupied for the past four (4) years, and Ag. Dean, Faculty of Arts, Management and Social Sciences (FAMSS), University of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences Umuagwo, Imo State, Nigeria since 2023. He is also a renowned Food, Beverage, Cosmetics and Medical devices Consultant. Before now, Dr. Ike has occupied positions like Head of Department (severally), Associate Dean of Faculty, Examination Officer, Departmental Postgraduate Co-oordinator etc. He started his career in the industrial sector and had occupied various managerial, management and executive positions (Microbiologist, Quality Control/ Production Manager, Quality Assurance Manager, Environmental Manager, General Manager) across

On joining the academia, Prof.. Ike has taught for over 11 years in five (5) different universities and other higher institutions in Nigeria. He has a good number of international and local journals to his credit. His research area is Food & Industrial Microbiology with interest in application and management of microorganisms in food processing, food safety and microbiological safety of processed foods in order to create safety and healthy living among consumers by eliminating malnutrition and diseases.
